  • Nuisance Behavior

Domestic violence or assault against tenant cannot be basis for termination of tenancy

Exceptions:

  • Does not apply to subsidized housing or junior accessory dwelling in owner’s house;
  • Does not apply to tenants who work for landlords.

No Fault Terminations:

  • Landlord removes unit from rental market
  • Landlord will move into dwelling unit
  • Substantial rehabilitation for health and safety
  • Can negotiate a buy-out agreement
